On May 8th, 2025, the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe, the German Federal Association for Sustainability received a remarkable recognition: A record grant of EUR 2,167,566.14 for Erasmus+ mobilities in VET was pledged to us by the National Agency at the BIBB as part of the 2025 funding round.
This historically significant day reminds us that peace and cooperation are at the heart of the European project. The European Union was founded on the conviction that war must never again divide the continent – and that shared education, exchange, and understanding are its strongest foundations. Few programs embody this spirit better than Erasmus+, which connects people, cultures, and professional opportunities across borders.
This funding enables us to further expand our efforts in international vocational education and training (VET) mobility. More learners, trainers, and professionals will now be able to acquire sustainability skills through hands-on experience in European companies and institutions. Our continued focus remains on Vocational Education for Sustainable Development (VESD) – as a key contribution to the social-ecological transformation of the labor market.
We sincerely thank the National Agency at the BIBB for their trust and look forward to a new funding period rooted in European cooperation, professional education, and sustainable progress.
