05.09.-11.09.2013: Vice President Martin Wittau took part in an EU delegation in Athens in complex discussions with the German Embassy, representatives of the Greek labor administration, the German-Greek Chamber of Commerce, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, the Goethe Institute, the Ministry of Culture and Sport and many other Greek actors. The meeting gained a deep insight into the social and economic situation of Greece and the immense structural solution needed locally. As a result, a memorandum with immediate recommendations for action arose.
